This interactive 3D model of a limited-service hotel needs JavaScript. It shows 120 guest rooms on VRF heat pumps with one outdoor unit per floor, a dedicated outdoor-air unit with an energy-recovery wheel, the exhaust fans and the building pressure they leave behind, and a lobby heat pump with electric auxiliary heat, through a hot summer weekday, a cold winter weekday, a bright March day and a half-sold Sunday night. It then shows what fourteen common faults, such as guest-room setbacks switched off, a recovery wheel that stopped turning, strip heat with no outdoor lockout and exhaust running without supply, add to the bill. Read about each fault in the heat pump and DOAS sections of the Pelorus fault library.
