What does AHU-X12 mean?
Hot-water reheat is running at night or on weekends when the building should be unoccupied and unconditioned.
Why does it matter?
There's no setpoint-defensible reason to reheat empty space. This is a top driver of high winter baseload and is usually a forgotten override or a leaky valve being chased by night setback control.
What should you do?
Check whether night-setback heating is too aggressive, whether a manual override has never been cleared, and whether the valve is mechanically leaking (a closed-command valve at 90°F downstream usually means leak-through).
