Where the data lives

Niagara stores trends as histories. Each history belongs to a point and lives under the station’s history space. The export you want is a table of several histories against a common timestamp, not one file per history. Exact menu names differ between Niagara 4 versions and between vendor skins built on Niagara, so treat the steps below as a shape to look for; your integrator’s documentation is authoritative.

Exporting

From the history space, select the histories for one equipment set at a time, open them together in a table or chart view, set the range to the period you want (twelve months if the history capacity allows, otherwise the longest available), and export to CSV. If the export offers a "rollup" or interval option, choose the native interval or 15 minutes.

If histories are not configured for the points you need, ask the integrator to add a history extension to each one with a 5- to 15-minute interval and a capacity of at least a few months. Change-of-value histories are fine; Energy Agent resamples them.

• Keep the station timezone in the file, or tell us what it is.
• One file per equipment group is fine (AHUs, plant, VAVs). Do not split one unit across files.
• Include the point units in the column names if the export drops them.

The file shape

One timestamp column, then one column per point. Put the unit in the header, for example "AHU-1 Supply Air Temp (F)" or "CHW-VLV (0-100)". Name each column with the equipment tag first so points from the same unit group together.

Energy Agent recognises the Niagara timestamp format and common point naming, but a plain "AHU-1 Supply Air Temp (F)" header is always safe.

You do not need to clean the file. Energy Agent checks timezone, gaps, duplicate timestamps, frozen channels and unit mismatches before any rule runs, and tells you what it found.
