What does PLANT-07 mean?

The chiller is starting and stopping more frequently than its minimum-runtime safety limit allows.

Why does it matter?

Short-cycling destroys chiller bearings, reduces compressor life by years, and drops average efficiency. Repeated starts also draw heavy in-rush current that can trip utility demand charges.

What should you do?

Check the chiller's minimum run timer and minimum off timer settings. Investigate whether the chilled-water loop is undersized for the load (no thermal mass) or whether staging logic is hunting between stages.
