What does VAV-04 mean?

Zone temperature is sustained above the cooling setpoint or below the heating setpoint by more than the tolerance.

Why does it matter?

Direct comfort complaint risk — the most-occupied buildings get the most complaints from this exact pattern. Often signals a downstream box stuck or a serving-AHU problem.

What should you do?

Check whether the box is stuck (run VAV-06). If the box is responding but can't move the zone, look upstream — the AHU may not be delivering useful supply air (FC07 / FC12).

This is a diagnostic rule: Energy Agent surfaces and ranks it as a comfort problem and claims no dollar savings for it, by design.
